Tish&Kyle offers temporary museum walls – the Stax Museum. Our temporary museum walls were recently installed at the Stax Museum of American Soul Music for a temporary exhibit.
Tish&Kyle were honored to deliver our temporary walls to the Stax Museum of American Soul Music.

Our temporary walls can be delivered unpainted, or painted in a variety of colors. We deliver, set-up and provide a final touch-up (if painted) so the display is ready to be used.
The Stax Museum of American Soul Music celebrates the incredible talent which has become known as the ‘Memphis Sound’, producing such great artists as Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding, Isaac Hayes and many others. It’s located in the neighborhood where many of these artists grew up, in the restored Stax recording studio. Visitors are treated to musical history, including a look at Isaac Hayes’ Cadillac, Al Green’s performance costumes, and many other incredible displays. The sound studio was restored to look and recreate acoustics like the original recording studio, featuring strategically placed acoustical reflectors to replicate the Memphis sound.
The Stax Museum will use our temporary museum walls to create additional display space once allocated for a permanent display. Our temporary museum walls help museums to maximize space while spending carefully. Since both sides of our temporary walls may be used for graphics or hanging artwork, they serve as a flexible way to use limited space. The Stax Museum of American Soul Music purchased our “I” formation, named for it’s capped ends on both sides. While this formation is simple, it can also be reconfigured to a variety of ways, such as providing a flat wall or right-angled display with 2 sides.

The Museum and school take up a city block. This view, taken from the front, shows the restored Stax Recording Studio.
In addition to the fabulous museum, the Stax Museum Academy provides approximately 100 talented elementary through high school-aged kids the opportunity to further develop incredible musical skills. The school’s high standards combined with the incredible talent of its gifted students will graduate yet another class this year, moving more talented individuals into musical careers.
Tish&Kyle will deliver the museum walls directly to your museum, helping you save a significant amount on delivery costs. We also like that we can unload and inspect our products right when we bring them to your door, and provide touch-ups, if necessary, from shipping.

When we deliver our temporary museum walls, we take time to train you or your staff to assemble and disassemble the units. Our new balancing features make leveling the units easier than ever, requiring only a small wrench. Our temporary museum walls are designed to be assembled and stored when not in use by your regular maintenance crew. Unlike the temporary exhibit walls used by many museums, our walls do not feature fabric or look like used cubicle walls. Our walls are smooth and create a tight seam when walls are assembled and leveled. A simple, but needed design. Our walls match up well due to our 20+ year experience in fine finish carpentry, furniture building and cabinetry. The exact measurements and attention to detail make these walls easy to install.
Be sure to check out the Stax Museum’s awesome web site (featuring an online radio with some of the greatest artists of all time), and visit there if you happen to be in Memphis.
